Teddy Bears Made With Love

We recently received a very sweet and special donation of adorable, handmade teddy bears from Ashley Webb, the daughter of the late Tim Kellstadt. Tim was a long-time volunteer of FOTCOH who passed way in 2015. Tim worked tirelessly at the FOTCOH clinic during our medical missions in the triage area, and his passion and dedication for the Haitian people was unyielding. Tim’s family has continued to support Haiti over the years as they remember Tim as a loving man who worked hard to help the Haitian people.

This year, Ashley decided to have a birthday party to make bears to give to children who come to our clinic in Haiti and even attached notes for the kids. The note reads, “This teddy bear was made with love just for you! As a gift from the heart, I pray that this small gift brings you joy. I want you to know that I was thinking of the special child that would receive this bear and I am so glad my bear has found a home with you!”

Thanks for all that you do to help children in Haiti, Ashley and the entire Webb Family!

How can you get involved in helping children and adults in Haiti?

You can help us provide life-saving support to the Haitian population in and around our medical clinic in a few different ways.

One way is by becoming a volunteer. Volunteer teams from the U.S. travel to Haiti to provide support for the most impoverished people in Haiti, who otherwise would have no access to medical care or wellness education of any kind. Team volunteers work side-by-side with experienced FOTCOH personnel, treating people who otherwise will go without any medical attention. All volunteers return home with a sense of experience and satisfaction unmatched in other endeavors.

Another way is by donating to FOTCOH. Funds go to purchasing medications, surgical supplies, and supporting our Medika Mamba program for malnourished Haitian children.
